Valentine's Dessert Inspiration from 3 Dessert Bloggers You Need to Follow

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Cute little mini hearts.  Sweet pink details.  Chocolate.  These are just some of the reasons I swoon over Valentine's Day desserts.

Every time I look for dessert inspiration I end up on one of three sites.  Each of the ladies behind these blogs dish up the most beautiful and delicious goodies.  I've tried multiple recipes from each of them and have never been disappointed.  So, if you love gorgeous, tasty desserts (which I'm betting you do), hop over to these sites.  Bring a cup of coffee and get comfortable, you'll want to look at all their stunning food for hours.

How Sweet It Is
I have serious food crush on this blog.  Her cookies are to die for.  Her pictures are pure loveliness.  She makes the process of cooking look dazzling.  Did I mention that she loves sprinkles?  If you've never visited this blog, please go!   These Sprinkled Strawberry Coconut Milk Scones would be great for a Valentine's Day breakfast.  I have a little 10 year old squealer in my house who would go gaga over this pink, sprinkly pretty.

Glorious Treats
I was first introduced to Glorious Treats via Tomkat Studio.  It was the first baking blog that I followed.  Actually, maybe stalked is a better word.  Her Rolled Sugar Cookies recipe is the ONLY sugar cookie recipe I use.  These perfect Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing are topped with the sweetest little chocolate and fondant hearts.  As my hubby knows, chocolate is definitely the way to my heart!

Sprinkle Bakes
Sprinkle Bakes is a Southern gal who loves beautiful desserts and has the cutest pug, ever.  I think we could be fast friends!  Her amazing Sixlet Cake inspired the Chevron Cake I made for my daughter's 9th birthday.  This talented artist also has a great book, Sprinkle Bakes: Dessert Recipes to Inspire Your Inner Artist, that's now available.   Receiving these gorgeous Jeweled Heart Sugar Cookies for Valentine's Day would make me shriek almost as loudly as receiving real jewels.

Happy Valentine's Day baking!!
